Get Your Children Ready for A Great Year of School

iStock_000003860471SmallThe start of a new school is here.  Whether your kids are starting kindergarten or college, you want them to hit the ground running and achieve academic success.  Here are a few ideas to make the first days of school go as smoothly as possible. Get Organized Make sure you have all your ducks in a row for the new school year.  Get a supply list from your child’s school and pick up those items before the first day of school.  Plan out your route to and from school.  If car pools are needed, make sure everyone knows who is responsible for driving when.  It is a good idea to set up your cabinets to store any items you will need throughout the year. Meet the Teachers Take advantage of every opportunity to meet your child’s new teachers and see their new school.  It is a great chance to make a good first impression on the person or people who will be a major influence on your child and by extension your family for the next 10 months.  Hopefully, your school will provide an event for parents and students to interact with other administrators and support staff as well. Ease Back into The School Routine Don’t wait until the first day of school to leave behind your summer schedule.  If your young student needs to get in the habit of waking up early again, allow at least a few days to gradually get back into the groove.  Reestablishing a routine slowly will help your child feel more secure and set them up for success. May your family start of the school year with a bang.  When you are looking for assistance making your home more suitable for your young scholars needs, contact K&N Sales
