Saturday, August 17th is the Texans first preseason home game against the Miami Dolphins. There are also some important tailgating guidelines and rules at Reliant Stadium.  Etiquette still applies to game day and we’re here to give you a few suggestions. Be Prepared Never underestimate the tailgating supplies you will need. Bring extra foldable chairs, beverages and food. Also, a cooler and a portable grill are essential to keep your tailgating party going full-force. Tailgating in your own backyard is made easy with the Danby 11 Bottle Cooler. It has the capacity for 11 bottles and 112 beverage cans. The Danver grill and hood are also ideal for tailgating backyard parties! Whether tailgating in your backyard or at the game, be sure to compile an up-to-date playlist for your MP3 player and a portable speaker system with an ample battery supply. Don’t set yourself up for embarrassment when the “Macarena” comes on, which surely you meant to delete. Tailgate Party PhotosPace Yourself Keep in mind, as all successful athletes do, that you must pace yourself if you want to make it. It might be tempting to jump in full-force with all the excitement while pre-gaming, but if you want to celebrate the undeniable, impeding Texans victory, then you must monitor your intake and stay hydrated. Be Considerate Share with others around you and don’t be a moocher. When moochers approach your tailgating party, be civil, but you're not required to continuously donate to their "cause." Dress and act appropriately. Don’t share your unwanted opinions on child-rearing or cigar smoking or share an out-of-shape stomach with a revealing or tigh-fitting top. We hope you are as excited as we are about the Texans 2013-2014 season!
