A BarbequeJust because summer is over doesn’t mean that your grilling has to be too! In fact, the fall is the perfect time to whip our your grill and specialty spices because food hot off of the grill is the absolute best on a cool autumn night. There is something special about having friends and neighbors gathered while eating food that the chef just grilled. The great taste and sweet aromas wafting through the air are the essence of community.Whatever grill you use, you can always make the occasion extra special with these tips. Befriend your butcher Don’t throw just any meat onto your Master Forge grill.  Take the time to get to know a local butcher.  If there isn’t a meat market nearby then get acquainted with the people behind the meat counter at your local supermarket.  Fresh meat will have more moisture, which leads to a better final product off your grill. Everybody loves a nice, juicy and tender steak! Give a proper warm-up While your Grill Mate grill is getting hot, give your meat a chance to get out of the cold.  Allow about 20 minutes out of the refrigerator for the meat to get to room temperature.  Meat that is too cold won’t cook evenly on your grill. Move it, but only when it is ready Make sure your steak develops a crust before you flip it on your Huntington grill.  Flipping it too soon will cause the meat to stick to the grates.  A smooth flip will give you steaks that keep your guests satisfied. Let it rest before you slice it After your steak is done, it still needs at least five minutes before you slice it for serving.  Giving the meat a chance to rest allows the juices to soak back in.  This will maximize the flavor and the smiles on your guests’ faces. Grills, grills, grills!  Consuming delicious food off the grill with friends is a highlight of any gathering, any time.  Keep your grill working at its top level.  Contact K&N Sales for assistance with your grilling needs.
